About this product
Paper joint tape is made from high-strength kraft paper with reinforcing fibers running across the width, so the tape resists tearing along the joint while staying thin enough to bury in two coats of compound. A center crease lets the tape fold cleanly into internal corners.
Compared with mesh tape, paper tape produces a stronger joint when bedded in setting compound, and it leaves a lower build on the wall. It remains the default choice for high-quality finishing work and for joints that will be sanded and painted.
