About this product
Cement-based substrates are alkaline and often wet, which is where standard joint tape fails. Fiberglass cement tape uses a heavier mesh with an alkali-resistant coating so the reinforcement keeps its strength inside cementitious adhesive, waterproofing slurry and tile adhesive.
It is specified at joints between cement boards, tile backer boards and around wet areas, and is embedded in the same adhesive or slurry used for the surrounding surface so the joint behaves as one continuous substrate.
